I work with fragments shaped by time, water, and chance.

Found items, glass, ceramic, pottery, pebbles, and stones gathered from the shorelines of the Great Lakes and beyond. Each piece carries a history, tumbled by nature, lost in the water for years, decades, or even centuries before landing in my hands. To transform these forgotten remnants into jewelry and sculpture feels like a form of historical recycling—an act of honoring the past while creating something new.

My instinct for collecting began in childhood. Raised by parents who always paused to pocket a “pretty or pretty cool” find on camping trips, I grew up believing that small treasures were worth saving. For years, life carried me forward—until I rediscovered the joy of looking down. Beachcombing reawakened that sense of wonder, and soon my home filled with glass, pottery shards, stones, and other relics waiting for their next chapter.

In my studio, these fragments become assemblages that move, hum, and flow. Some whisper their own stories; others invite me to imagine one for them. Together, they form a collection that celebrates memory, transformation, and the artistry of nature itself.
